"Hi, I'm Aaron, founder and CEO of SALKING. I never thought that a close friend would one day inspire me to start my own brand."
Early Success, Painful Lessons In 2010, at the age of 23, Aaron discovered aromatherapy and met his close friend Mats G. Arvidsson. Mats not only placed Aaron’s very first order but also offered unwavering support. By 2013, the company’s rapid growth attracted venture capital—investments that nearly destroyed Aaron’s fledgling business and threatened Mats’s thirty years of hard work. Rather than assign blame, Mats taught Aaron:
“Take the long view, keep your feet on the ground, and stay humble.”
Birth of SALKING After Mats’s sudden passing in 2014, Aaron walked the windswept coast of Gothenburg and tasted salt on the breeze. Inspired, he learned about Pakistan’s ancient Khewra Salt Mine—where rose-gold salt walls symbolize resilience and silent care. From that moment, the concept of Salking salt lamp diffusers and natural essential oils was born.
A Lasting Legacy Every three years, Aaron returns to Gothenburg to reaffirm his commitment: to build a salt lamp diffuser and essential oils company grounded in long-term vision, deep roots, and unwavering integrity.
